A rainbow appeared to you, at the top of Očak it enchanted you. Truly a real heartfelt reward, for a person who loves mountains. Something like that is rarely experienced. Congratulations!

Viharnik Those lines on night shots are star trails. Shutter opening time was five to six minutes and in that time the earth rotates against the stars and consequently the star leaves a light trail on the picture. Sometimes a long line also appears on the picture, which is the trail of light from an airplane. Regards

Yes, correct - I was thinking - that with the Sun. This is clear - Earth rotates 15° per hour and if you had exposure of 6 minutes. Then the stars stretched into a trail 1.5°. That means the trails are approximately three apparent radii of the full Moon long.

@carniolus I know (I corrected myself a few posts above): I meant the wrong photo - the one with the Sun from Triglav summit. I'm also an amateur astronomer.

Has anyone been perhaps today to Kredarica - Triglav? What are the conditions? Will it be ok to go up on Sunday? Tomorrow bad weather is apparently forecasted. Do they still cook something at Kredarica or are they already in the valley? lp

Kredarica is always open. There are meteorologists up there and if needed they cook something too

Nice greetings to all, I'm interested if anyone has data on the path via Tominškova or over Prag? Planning to visit the summit on Saturday or Sunday and consequently gathering information. Thanks in advance to everyone for the reply.

how is it with snow on the top? I went last year around that time and it was all iced up, on the most exposed places. Asking about southern approaches to Triglav.

I, in your place, wouldn't go up, because due to temperature fluctuations plus and minus the path can be icy. But no one prevents you, everyone decides for themselves but now most go on dry paths. Maybe it wouldn't be bad to call some mountain guide and ask what he thinks.
