I assume he wanted to say they have no experience with Triglav... And not with snow, if they go to hills every day. Path from Krma is easiest. Anyway without winter gear in these conditions not even worth going to hills, not just Triglav, but nowhere. With winter gear and some experience Triglav is no bogeyman, especially if path is trodden and cables mostly out. But I'm interested if road to Aljažev dom is still drivable. (know there wasn't much snow, but before last snowfall it was completely covered and icy, so despite winter tires I barely got to parking)

Under snow hides ice or combination of breakable crust and powdery snow below, at snow edge south is ice, so Triglav coffee is worth thinking about?

Zlodej applies to those who will manage and not to those who would try. Igor but we are adults and no need to explain in detail like to 5 year old kid and no need to repeat one and same word. Still option just Kredarica for those, summit is only 5 minutes away.

In these conditions no one can be 100% for safe ascent (don't know what's under snow not yet fully transformed due to cold), regarding conditions some ask like calves, so Igor's opinion is fully in place.

Yeah that's why I rather ask before we go up on our own Of course we don't have all the winter gear we'd need so we'll just postpone our Triglav route for some weekend To Triglav there are of course more routes right..? Which one do you recommend for first time or are all interesting in their own way? And many thanks for the answers!

Guys don't crap around, people die in the mountains... Postpone the date preferably to August or September and head there via the easiest route. Leave Triglav alone in such conditions... LP, Juš

Kromirani, Triglav is written with a capital letter. For you that obviously applies even more. Juš and Igor are experienced hikers, so please follow their well-meaning advice!

Innox, go to some Viševnik for a test run. From there Triglav can be nicely seen.

Yeah Yeah Innoxcroom if you browse forums I don't know when it'll even be suitable for Triglav. Go a bit up from Krma for a walk and you'll see if it pulls you or not. That's my advice. I for example go mostly just on recon trips of tours I choose and prepare for them as long as it goes. Peaks in this case 98% conquered. 98% I go alone cuz I adapt to myself and know how far and how so? Let's go sometime also alone on trip peaks wait for us and will wait.
