Judging by the last picture very well made path, sometimes they cut it too high.
Congratulations

Last Friday I got to Kovinarska and dug out the parking. With an ice axe and avalanche shovel I carved a "garage" for the car and spent two hours on it. Advice: don't go to Krmo without crampons and a good shovel for breaking snow, otherwise you might soak your first cigarette even before stepping on skis.

Yesterday on Easter Sunday there was quite some traffic on Triglav too - another nice day that had to be experiencedsmile

Started at Peričnik and in great weather first to Luknja. Climbed via Bambergova to ZTP, and to dad. Lots of snow, base good but exits snowed in with cornices in two places. Descent to Krmo.

Hi everyone!
I tried to understand the conditions from what's written above: is Triglavska cesta to Al. Dom open or not?
I want to climb Slovenska smer next week: does someone have information about recent ascents?

Thanks from Friuli nasmeh

Aljažev dom is closed until the beginning of May.
For climbing Slovenska route don't play with your life, snow is melted, unstable, improper for ANY attempt!

Bravo Redbull! I think such a mountaineer hasn't existed yet and won't anymore. Slowly we should think about some award or medal for you at the highest world levelmežikanje
Bravo, bravo. 365 days in a year - 365 summits or more in a year, right?

Great photosvelik nasmeh

Many years ago our renowned alpinists climbed Čopov steber in winter conditions and no one knew about them but now we should award GOLDEN ICE AXE for ascent to Triglav via protected path Jjezikzadregavelik nasmeh

I think UROS1 partied too much on 31 March and slept too long, this morning thought it was 1 April and quickly posted a good one.
I laughed heartily over coffee.

We also set off to Triglav on 03.04.2016
After a fairly arduous ascent to Kredarica from Krma (snow was already quite wet and sinking) we headed to the summit in the afternoon. Even to the summit the snow wasn't exactly favorable to us, as it was already quite unstable. Especially on the section to Mali Triglav, where the path was quite adrenaline-filled, but our effort was rewarded, as we were probably the last on the summit that day and had it to ourselves, which isn't everyday in summer, plus ca. 4 m higher nasmehnasmeh.
A few more snapshots from the path to the summit..
The effort was definitely rewarded

Triglav, protections and fear of heights
Hello,

after long and decisive consideration I'm heading to Triglav in summer and given that I'm not best friends with heights I'm curious about the protections on the route, since as long as I'm clipped in and feel secure it's not so bad. I know there are many different routes and I'm interested which is most suitable so heights and drops don't cause me too much trouble. Suggestions? Also curious if I can always clip in at "critical" points or if some sections have only pegs?

Fitness-wise I'm prepared so no worries there. Also not planning to rush to the top but take a few days to enjoy the route too. Lots has been said on this but still no concrete answer on route protections and which is best.

Best,
