Hi mountaineers!
I'm wondering if anyone knows what the weather will be like this weekend from Sunday to Monday in the mountains. We'd go to Triglav (Komarča, Triglav lakes etc)

Nice greetings!nasmeh

For now it looks good. But it's your duty to follow the weather forecast. ARSO, ALADIN etc...

I'm also going this weekend to Triglav, specifically Sunday and Monday. I've been up once but do you recommend (regarding the weather)?

It's hard to take responsibility for the decision about the weather. In principle nice weather is forecasted, but everyone has to decide themselves whether to go or not.

If you're not sure about the weather call the DUTY METEOROLOGIST and he will tell you exactly.

I'm interested in how Tominšek's path compares to the path from Kredarica to Triglav, which one is more demanding? Thanks.
Regards.

Why do they sell warm beer for almost 4€ on Kredarica in 2009, shame!!!!!!!!

Otherwise, on 19.8.2009 I went via Tominšek's and it's nicely secured, a bit harder than from Kredarica, if you have no vertigo it's OK, and at the start zigzag through the little forest also raises the pulse a bit.
Start of the climbing route1
First pitons on Tominškova2
Is quite an interesting path on Tominškova3

Luknja and Plemenice in the background5
Junction of the path over Prag and Tominškova6

Greetings all,
I'm interested if anyone has an answer to my question. Soon going to Triglav via this route: Planina Blato - planina Krstenica - Velo polje - Kredarica - Triglav - Dolič - Dolina sedmerih - Štapce - Planina Jezero - planina Blato. Planned hike 2-3 days. Interested in the path from Planina Blato to Vodnikov dom as described above, is it better via Planina Laz? Is the path varied and scenic? Further I know all. Haven't seen description of this path anywhere yet. Have enough fitness, a lot in hills.
Thanks all for info.

On Tuesday I went via Tominšek path to Triglav and it's quite a demanding path that requires fitness and no vertigo, helmet obligatory. Below steep ascent through forest, then you meet pins and cables. Didn't need self-belay set. If I compare it to path from Kredarica to Triglav it's of course more demanding and steep, but on the path surely no such smooth rocks as from Kredarica. You can see that the path to Triglav is very popular and great caution needed. Regards

Hi!
I'm interested if Tominšek path to Triglav is much more demanding than Hanz path to Mala Mojstrovka. Thanks. Regards.

Blato-Vodnikova hut walked a few days ago via planina Krstenica and spiced it with ridge path behind Krsteniški and over Jezerski Stog. Scenic varied path not marked but well traceable and easy, just chimney below summit J. Stog requires some care, from summit descent to saddle where marks direct you right to Vodnik. Path via pl. Laz has its charms but described path undoubtedly more scenic, more varied and quieter.

I suggest variant Blato-Grintovica-Vodnikov dom and then on, which I walked myself this year, it's pathless but traceable.
Wrote something about it, search under Current conditions, page 4, info. Pl. Blato-Vodnikov dom.
Nice path that requires least ascent and descent to Vodnikov dom of all.
Hope I helped, otherwise all paths are nice and different in their way.
Wherever you go it will be nice, so enjoy!

Nice thanks HOPLA69 and BOS. Found something on net, also reworked map so only start awaits us. If weather good we go 31.08. or 01.09., counting daily walks 6-8 hours with stops considering those with less fitness.
Thanks again!

Planning this weekend, on Sunday, if weather improves by then, to Triglav.

On Sunday 06.09. we'd go from Aljažev dom to Kredarica, on Monday 07.09. to summit and back.
First time to Triglav

we have harness and full belay kit

wondering if to go
via Tominškova gora
and down via Prag?
Or reverse?
what do you recommend?

If you plan to go up from that side, just use that variant, Tominškova gora up and Prag down. You'll probably have luck with the weather so slowly but surely, good luck.
