I agree, for the first time you need to choose an "easier" approach (e.g. from Pokljuka), which is time-consuming but not technically demanding like Tominškova and Prag. You need fitness, broken-in shoes, to endure the effort, and it's sensible to overnight. As Janez says, the ascent from Kredarica is all chain, pegs, climbs, height... for someone not used to it, it can be stressful, the head must stay maximally focused on movement all the time. Especially since there is a crowd at this time, even on weekdays (yesterday, e.g.). I myself went for two days the first time, up via Prag and down to Pokljuka, then one-day tours (Tominšek-Prag, Plemenice-Prag, Tominšek-Tominšek), but I'm used to mountains and really long tours. For a beginner this is NOT. It's highly recommended to have a companion who has experience with Triglav. Regarding gear, everyone decides for themselves, I have it on every climbing path, but it must be known how to use it, learning it on the way to Triglav is not smart. It can be done without, of course, but everyone answers for themselves and knows for themselves. And what is easy for someone can be extremely difficult for someone else, sometimes even impossible. Respect for mountains is needed, and when we head high, we need to be prepared for them.
