On the road to Krma to the end there are tire tracks, further on path to Kredarica 10-20cm snow, higher blown into drifts.
From Kredarica to summit combination of old hard snow, blown new and some bare sections.
Alone all the time, such a nice day.
Tomorrow it will be different.velik nasmeh

Path towards Kredarica already well trodden. Compacted snow starts above the forest, last 400m below Kredarica hard crusts.
Good winter conditions for ascent to Triglav.velik nasmeh

Nothing to add, Franci said it all.
Regarding conditions maybe add that to Kredarica due to trampled ground no need for gaiters. For summit mandatory winter gear, no mini crampons like some usually ask. I expected more snow on path to summit. Parking at Lesa, road bare-normal drivable.

Good luck

Yesterday's visit to the highest in winter conditions. Snow of all kinds from crust, blown so you sink in, powder and also icy parts found. Not exactly ideal conditions but great. Be careful and you won't miss the enjoyment at the summitmežikanjeIt had quite a few visitorsnasmeh

Is it possible to drive to Lesa with normal road car (Audi, Golf, Kia Ceed, Megan...). If coming from Mojstrana direction, can I go direct or turn at pass towards Gorje and then to Krma? Thanks for answer.

Yes, no problem. The road ("direct" from Mojstrana) is normally passable.

Triglav on Wednesday 5.12. Interesting weather we had on Tuesday 4.12. We didn't exactly hurry, as there was more than enough time from Krma to Kredarica. We put on crampons already below Prgarca. The sky was really clear, until it suddenly clouded over above Krma and started snowing. We had real winter atmosphere. Later it stopped. The next day we set off to the summit in the morning. I think there were seven of us altogether on the top. Conditions quite solid, just it closed in. And wind was pulling on some parts.
weather completely clear when we started walking.1
suddenly it clouded over.2
and we had to put on rain gear, as it snowed for about two hours on our way to Kredarica.3
even like this it is very nice.4
the sun peeked out.5
It's like that in December anyway.6
And the peaks were revealing themselves.7

In the morning there was a nice sunrise.10
The three of us are heading towards the summit.11

It wasn't exactly warm.14
Nor too cold.15
Joy on the summit. Anita and Marjan for the first time in winter conditions on Triglav.16
We were alone on the summit. The weatherman at Kredarica was right that the tower is damaged or torn off.17
and we head back to the valley. We had two nice days.18

We started hiking around nine. Then it depends how much snow and if it collapses. Walking time wasn't important for us, because we weren't in a hurry. Usually about five hours. nasmeh And the last part is steep, and if snow collapses it tires you a lot. Slowly you get far without worries too.

Hi! After Christmas we would like to go to Triglav for two weeks and ask what to expect in Triglav Hut? Can we buy water and dinner? How cold is the room? (Which sleeping bag do you recommend?) Thanks!

You can get drinks (water, juice, coke). Dinner as far as I know more no than yes. In the rooms it's almost as cold as outside - I warmly recommend a winter sleeping bag.

This is how it was 2 years ago: https://bojanambrozic.com/2017/01/01/silvestrovanje-na-kredarici-in-novoletni-vzpon-na-triglav/

Does anyone perhaps know what (approx) the temperature difference inside/outside is in winter. I know it's a bit dependent on insulation, room size, number of people in the room, .. - but assume 1 person in a smaller room (e.g. Kredarica) or one of the bivouacs.

Thanks in advance!

We three who slept Tuesday to Wednesday in room 102, hot like in Plestenjak's song room 102, were just fine. Not even cold. In dining room heaters on, really pleasant. Bean stew with sausage excellent. Wardens friendly, can only praise them. nasmeh
