If there were no 'ads', one would say great pics. But anyway it strikes differently.

Kitsch and ads are foreign elements in the mountains.

Today's report without ads: Triglav is still there, path widely trodden, all fixed protections out of snow, lots of people on top. Snow was still nicely firm at 7am, later friends said it was already mushy. Road to Krma still a challenge, hard in morning, bike tracks sometimes too deep for normal cars. Before Kovinarska hut space for about 10 cars, otherwise good alternative bike, which goes nicely in the middle between tracks, and no parking issues.

Yesterday via Krma - Kurica - Konjsko sedlo - Planika - Triglav - Planika - Vodnikov dom - Bohinjska vratca - Vernar - Krma. The road to Krma is fairly drivable, a handful of cars in the morning, on the return only mine. I used winter gear only over Kurica, to Planika some snow patches that were already softening. Further the snow was already soft, even through the gully possible with a little effort without gear, then dry to the ridge. On the ridge some snow, so caution is needed as it is soft during the day and a slip is possible. On the ascent I met a couple of foreigners, on the top I enjoyed the solitude , on the descent no one anywhere. To Vodnikov dom some snow patches, so caution at least on one is not superfluous. To Bohinjska vratca a bit dry and a bit of snow, further to the summit of Vernar dry. The steep ascent is rewarded with magnificent views. Descent to the marked path in Krma mostly on snow, where gaiters are very useful. Otherwise I spent another nice day on the top of our homeland and this time no fog on Vernar either.

Nice photos, Boštjan. You must have put on crampons quite a few times?

Only over Kurica where it's steeper, the rest had footprints already and snow was soft too.

View from Jerebikovec towards Kota if it helps someone. Lots of snow still on this side.

I was up there today. 3 weeks ago still proper winter. To the top and back without crampons or ice axe. Some snow still around Snežna kota and at the start of Mali Triglav. Traverse and all the way to the top bare. Lowest temp +6°C. It blew hard at night, calmed after sunrise. Only annoying thing is ice patches along the whole length from where snow starts to the top, luckily easy to cross. Weather today not great, more misty. Extremely few people. Total about 15. Road to Krma nicely arranged too.

Over Planika can avoid all snowfields (except Kurica), over Kredarica hard snow at entry to Mali Triglav where crampons and ice axe needed. Ridge bare.

Hi, Plan to see Valley of Triglav Lakes, start from Ukanac overnight at Kredarica. Can someone recommend route/trails? Thanks in advance! Filip

Why Kredarica? It's way out for Triglav Lakes.

I have booked a stay, but the Valley seems super interesting to see, I have time so considering options...

Over Komarča through the valley of Triglav Lakes, then over Hribarice, descent towards Dolič, under Šmarjetna glava past Planika to Kredarica. Well.. really long Or even longer - from Dolič to Triglav and then descent to Kredarica. Normally for 2 days... but if you have fitness it goes in 1. Adds up nicely with 2000m ascent and distance I'd say roughly 25-30km.

I think better from Stara Fužina through Voje valley, Vodnik hut, Kredarica, next day Triglav, Dolič, Hribarice, lakes, ...

I wouldn't recommend the path from Voj valley to Vodnik's hut, as a large part of the nice alpine path was made into a forestry track and it's despair for hiking, especially downhill.

Hi. Does anyone know if the path from Pokljuka to Kredarica is already normally passable? Thinking about this option Friday/Saturday...

Hello, what's the path to Triglav from Krma like, is it dry already? Thanks for answer.

Summer path is without issues or mostly dry, some snow might still be crossable between Ulici and junction to Planika. Winter gear unnecessary here (and to top) already for about two weeks. Tominškova and Čez Prag also mostly dry.
