I'm wondering if it's possible from Krma with touring skis to get to Kredarica - is there enough snow in Krma for touring skis? Would anyone go tomorrow or Monday to Triglav? LP

Yesterday 4.2.11. I went from Krma to Triglav. Path to Kredarica well trodden so anyone with some fitness and will gets up. Further to Triglav crampons and ice axe mandatory.

Yesterday my friend and I were on our daddy. For him it was the first winter ascent. We started from Krma. Conditions for the ascent good. For the icing on the cake, a bit of sun and less wind were missing. Lots of visits on the top, even more on Kredarica. Skiing over Konsko sedlo and further under Kurica quite good. Lower due to thaw, skiing a bit worse.

On Saturday to Kredarica and yesterday to the top nasmeh

Despite good conditions, full winter gear needed. On Saturday some descending from top with small crampons and trekking poles and even bragging jezen

You at least saw them with poles and small crampons, we saw a guy without crampons and without poles. The man was faster and more skilful than most with all the gear. I'm not advocating that, but he really mastered it. Some with all the gear were so ignorant in using it that it didn't help them much. You can see to what level this Swiss guy masters it on this link:

Really nice ascent and the climber is the real deal, balanced. Doesn't exaggerate, just follows his inner feeling and his dreams. Also interesting is the video of climbing Grandes Jorasses, also 2.45h.

Today on Triglav quite windy, so at times it was a bit scary. Otherwise conditions quite similar to those described by my predecessors.
Without gear I can still imagine ascent to the top, descent more like mission impossible.
And one more thing. For climbing to the top I recommend the earliest possible hour, because then the snow is still compact.
