I agree burja, if something happens to you it's good to have someone who can help you - or you him.
And everything that's beautiful is even more beautiful if you share it with someone.
I'm also looking for company for the mountains. I know it's hard to match (pace, wishes,...).
I'm from the Coast, middle-aged, you can contact me on Facebook under name Sonja Rak and there are some of my pics too.
I'd prefer hiking trails (no climbing) about 3 hours one way. I'd go for 2-3 days too.
Recently I was on Triglav from Uskovnica, past Vodnikov dom and Planika and to the hut at Triglav Lakes.
Will anyone here be found who's more easy-going, but not too much?

Almost 40, kids now big enough to be alone sometimes, looking for company for mountains. From Ljubljana, my highest mountain so far 1300m, but I'm still quite sporty type. Will someone take me along?

Thanks to everyone who wrote to me and brightened my Monday morning!  Can I suggest that those who are planning a specific route in the mountains and would take someone along post it in this forum? We, the ones seeking company, will sign up according to our abilities.

In the mountains it's like that, the more there are, the more problems... I never practice going with more than two or three... if the group is too big, you don't get anywhere... those are my experiences... and many nice views

Me too, I'm looking for company. So far I've occasionally gone to the mountains with various groups. On Sunday I was at Kokrško sedlo and since everything is so well marked, I had no problems. The trip excited me so much, I'm terribly tempted to go to the mountains every weekend or as often as possible. I don't know the paths and company would be more than welcome. I have a bit more than 40 years and I assess that I have pretty good fitness. I'll be glad for some response.

I go to the mountains alone. Maybe sometimes I wish for company too, but you can't believe what an unforgettable experience a person has alone up there.

I too sometimes miss company, so I suggest that all who seek occasional company in the mountains maybe at least once a month go together on some interesting and pleasant mountain outing

Alenka9, I'm from Ljubljana and if you're up for it, we can go somewhere together sometime. Probably easier to arrange with fewer people. I support Acjom's initiative too.

Anyway, nothing will come from this joint planning, people promise but right before departure the phone rings that they won't come.
Someone once posted an ad on a forum to gather for blood donation, response via forum was VERY, I'd say at least 50 interested, after 1 week topic author goes to LJ for blood donation, no one was there, posts again and reports no one was there, then one announced she came 1 hour late.
Cowardly people.
