There were 7 of us and we split it, otherwise it's robbery for me.

Park in front of the "official" parking and it's free.

You can only do that if you're early enough.

I'm looking and clicking, but somehow can't find the answer - if I arrive at Aljažev dom in the evening (e.g. 21h), sleep, next day wander around and back e.g. by 19h... is that one parking day (less than 24h) or two days (two calendar days)?

In the evening you can probably find some space in Poldov rov too. But then there's that 2 km on the flat.

In Easypark I tried selecting time from now to 23 hours later and it showed price for 2 days, i.e. 57.5 EUR (that's with Easypark commission).

If you arrive at 21:00 and leave next day at 19:00, it should be three hours (12 EUR) plus one day (25 EUR).

There was talk from the wise ones that they would set up daily parking for rolling 24 hours. Probably haven't gotten to it yet. Why hurry if they can charge for 2 days. nasmeh
Under Hexenturm it was 30 euros for 5 days!

But this parking in Vrata was basically designed by the planners as a rip-off. Whether they rip off as much as on the signs or a bit more, they don't care anyway.

4 days in Saint Jacques in Ayas valley at 1600m: 0,00€

Maybe this too - yesterday they told me that if parking controllers come they fine even those before the official parking. At the same time they said that if foreigners park and don't pay they can't do anything once they cross the border. Now figure this out!

True, I don't get this, when you get a fine from Italy or Austria you have to pay it, otherwise you can't enter that country anymore.
Or can I ignore all their notices - like I'm deaf to it all.
But doesn't it work that way here?

Fines they can issue everywhere where there's no Pja. As for foreigners, if it's EU citizen they must translate the fine to his language when sending home. The translation must be paid by the one sending the fine and can't charge it. So most countries don't send fines under 60-70€ because not worth it. If outside EU probably no option to send.
As for above Austria and Italy - what was said applies. So if they don't send you home the translation of fine they can't detain you at border. If they send home and you ignore long enough... then FURS collects it in the end.

Well, that parking in Vrata was basically conceived by the planners as a rip-off. Whether they rip you off for as much as it says on the signs or a bit more, they don't care anyway.

We were also last week in the Pennine Alps, on the other, Swiss side though. As you can imagine, it's not free there either. But it's quite a bit cheaper compared to our rip-offs. In Saas Grund under the cable car it's 1.5 francs per hour or 12 per day, and you can pay for shorter periods too. The machine charged us 1 day and 1 hour. Here we'd pay for two days in Vrata for the same period. Or in other words, it can be an honor for ours that even in Swiss alpine valleys parking is about half the price of Vrata. Not everyone succeeds at that.

The Alpine Association should also protect its members, not hold the cash register! Everything has its limits. This is mocking the membership squared. All under the pretext of nature protection. Really?!

I'm wondering how much parking in Vrata will be after 15.9. No more P+R option.

From 16.9. to 14.6. parking in Vrata is free, at least that's what the sign says.
