Then they'll have to change the sign that ločanka posted a photo of on 5.9. Otherwise they'll be in violation and won't be allowed to charge parking fees. It clearly says payment from 15.6. onwards and the last day payment is mandatory is 15.9. Exactly like that and nothing else.

By the way; yesterday I chatted with a couple, locals, on Terzi Piccoli, they couldn't for the life of them remember at which mountain trailhead in Friuli you'd have to pay parking. And they were literally horrified when I told them Vrata is 25€ and that's daily (not 24h). They like visiting our mountains, were recently on Vršič, now heading to Triglav, Krn tempts them too. And they grabbed their heads when I explained a bit about parking fees here, their height, and where all you have to pay. They completely understood why I've spent more time there than here the last twelve years. Of course not just because of parkingzavijanje z očmi

Dear ladies and gentlemen solving the traffic and mass visits to the mountain world and valleys below issues, consider possible further solutions too.
For example:
-those who arrive at the trailhead on foot, by bike or public transport should pay an eco tax (say one euro, maybe two in high season). For drivers it's included in parking.
-those with dog companions, half price for the dog soul as for human, maybe same if it's a beast over 50kg
-those who come to the trailhead just for an Instagram shot or other social network, should pay "digital supplement", say twenty cents, so they won't complain about the price
That's it for now, if I think of something else to fleece the visitors of the beautiful nature in your parts, I'll let you know immediately.
P.S.
if during inventory you find that with the saffron-expensive parking fees in some places you don't earn enough, I suggest you add next to the daily parking price: "Per person in vehicle." velik nasmeh

slovenians are really "some asses", what all they came up with that "rip us off"; ... i also resent the alpine association, because in such cases - when prices are too high, it doesn't care for its members and does nothing for them, mrk pogled

Zajzera, now also Beli potok. They are in the minority and cheaper (as I already wrote, I parked much cheaper in one Swiss alpine valley than for the same duration in Vrata), but they can be found.

I fully agree with this. I happen to know that this year a petition to the PZS leadership was addressed by almost all leaders of Slovenian alpine sections. In which some almost absurd but nevertheless true claims were highlighted. For example this, that PZS card holders are entitled to a discount for parking in Paklenica, in Vrata they get only the middle finger. But PZS is rather silent about it and pushes some "public transport to mountains" campaigns, within which it fraternizes with crowned robbers from Bohinj Tourism.

jax,
thanks, I completely forgot, in Zajzera I even paid myself. That's it, probably some Val Cimoliana and those ends, remote valleys. Mostly and by rule gratis long and wide in FJK.

Zajzera is free. Same last year and this year. At the toll booth big sign "closed".

PZS with current leadership could slowly rename itself and add another P in front. Full name "anti-alpine association..."mrk pogledjezik

Only parking at the trailhead in Jezerska valley is paid - 8eur whole day. What Italians think about it is nicely written with marker on the board below - LADRI - thieves in our language.

Parking in Zajzeri is NOT free. Parking fee of 5 € is paid - regardless of duration. I was there several times during summer. Possible that off-season they don't collect.

10.8. is absolute peak season. Especially in Italy. 2x there, 2x toll booth closed. And not at night or extremely early hour. Same at entrance and exit.
So obviously IT IS free velik nasmeh

I think parking in Zajzeri is "hit or miss"... 16.8. I was cycling there and cars had to pay, few days before not... anyway, for our rates, even 5 € in Zajzeri is practically freejezen

I also paid Zajzero last year and besides 2x went by bike past open toll booth where they diligently cashed. Can't rely on it being free mežikanje

But I twice in summer in Zajzeri and both times free nasmeh During normal daytime hours.
If we're already abroad, let me mention the mountain road from Ukev to the starting point at Ojstrnik, for which they charge 5 euros contribution in summer (not 20). And in the afternoon they no longer collected.

Public transport canceled, parking fee symbolically reduced.
In the KG Municipality post I miss the standard rant about sustainable mobility, green transition, nature protection, etc... in reality it's just greed of municipal officials and filling pockets at the expense of hikers, because politics allowed it....PZS of course doesn't care, as long as they collect more than half of the money from club memberships and the state adds some, they will warm their butts on well-paid chairs and pretend everything is perfectly fine.

mirank14. 09. 2024 17:01:33
Exactly, they don't care about nature protection if nothing is collected. And no mistake, 5-8 eur per day there is acceptable, everything else is pure fleecing off-season, Jul-Aug even more. Where is the care for healthy recreation of people, which is the most massive precisely with hiking in the mountains and once the most accessible?

For comparison. In the last three months I parked 7x in Austria, on organized parking lots and quite high. 3x free, 4x from 4 to 8 euros daily. That's what mirank is talking about. Or even better.
