Today up Grofovska, then down Kozji hrbet. Grofovska almost dry to halfway, then snow and 3 fallen trees at end. I broke trail. Sunny top with great views. Strong gusts at summit. Logbook frozen. Descent Kozji hrbet, huge fallen trees between two roads, but I navigated left-right ok. Lower part no fallen trees.

Now winter gear recommended, also saw or secateurs, for gardeners. After 10-20 min, continuation easier, simpler in many places.

First time this year up. Ivarčko-Fabriška-summit-Fabriška-Ivarčko. From below total thaw and foggy. Higher up solid winter and new snow. On top 20-30 cm new snow. Towards top strong wind, which made the hut packed full, but few of us on top. Could take photos and videos, but wind made drifts. Winter returned to its place after two days off.

Path from postman's hut via Kal is impassable. Full of fallen trees. Path over Kozarnica trodden.

Yeah, pity, just had this in mind soon...from Poštarski dom. Which path is nicest to Uršlja now? And that it's not full of fallen trees, because not planning to carry chainsaw.

Železarska from Ivarčko is well trodden and no single fallen tree on the path, because it's from north side. From Poštarski, the passable path over Kozarnica, which then joins Železarska.

Also from Križan you can nicely reach the top. True, there is quite some fallen trees, but the track is made around them. But steep...

If you seriously intend to reach Uršlja, path and obstacles don't matter, those are just excuses to stay home. Regards.

@Janezs Right you are! No excuses tolerated. Gotta get in the car and drive to the other end of Slo and put foot on path...right? Good luck!

On the path from Naravske Ledine to Uršlja Gora summit, a windstopper was found this afternoon. Whoever misses it can get it from me. Path nicely trodden, recommend hiking crampons in the morning. Skiing conditions quite southern, return to valley via road "spoils" about a km of skiing.

Hello! Despite the snow forecast for the end of the week, I'm making a reserve for Uršlja gora and wonder if, with heavier snow, one can drive to Poštarski dom and then walk from there? Or better park earlier and WHERE?.. then walk to Poštarski dom and onwards. Thanks a lot for the reply, regards Grega

Start from Ivarčko, there you'll at least be able to follow the path; if from Poštarski, you'll likely get lost. No tracks, fallen trees (Kal) advise against that route, over Kozarnica risk of unexpected avalanche.

Ivarčko Lake Saturday morning no panic, usually they fight who first breaks the trail

Listen to Guki and it'll be fine. When you reach Sel then to Kotelj and to Ivarčko lake not far. Železarska path always visited especially weekends when early hikers around 6am march to the top. Below probably not much snow from 1000m up expect winter conditions - poles, gaiters, those small crampons and ok.
