Better not. On Sunday the road was mostly still thinly snow-covered, but gravel was visible in places or rough ice was exposed and it would unnecessarily damage skins and skis. This week probably made it even worse. It's not possible to drive by car beyond Ciganija up to the weekend; only individual deep holes in individual ice sheets have formed. And even at Križan there were "normal" cars parked...

Yesterday there was snow on the winter path -from the junction to Rampa to the top.

Some fallen trees across the path are no big obstacle.

Aha of course then uphill at least from the meadow onwards it's possible, and I think also already from Križan on the left forest road...

This afternoon track up and down Grofovska gora. Surprisingly quite some snow, on top somewhere 25-30 cm. On top sun and no wind. No bear tracks, it sticks more to the south and Plešivec peaks, where it easier finds something for hunger mežikanje

Today evening snow check. A good half meter has drifted, where drifted it's even close to a meter of new snow. From 1100 up it's proper winter. Up and down on Železarska. Weather snow showers, cloudy and sun alternating. The only bear you can see and meet is at the beehive jezik

For the first of May from Ivarčko Lake via Grofovska to the top, the first snow patch appears at the bife under the fir (cca. 1100 m), as befits the season, mud accompanies us from here, especially in the area where Uršljevec springs and surroundings. When we reach the road, wet but compact snow accompanies us, less day by day and no real obstacle. Down via Železarska, even muddier than Grofovska. Bells and trout lilies that said goodbye in the valley are here in full bloom.

Up and down the Železarska path. Weather below expectations, feeling above expectations, path as expected muddy below and snowy above. Ascent solo, if I subtract the močerad with whom we crossed paths, top briefly shared with a couple and doggy, descent fairly crowded up top, from the road/footpath junction down again alone. Still quite some snow, but winter gear except gaiters not needed. Gaiters more for mud than snow, as the track was firm. On top Mary appeared to me several times in the form of a few seconds' sun flashes, solitude and peace a real blessing. All cool, really cool nasmeh

Hello!

Yesterday I was on our Urška and noticed two guys climbed up the north wall, between cross and tower. One told me they came from Ošven and had to climb to reach the top. But does anyone know this "path" and could roughly describe it, both by difficulty and direction?

Climbing routes are in the little tower just below the summit, called Šmohorca. (Picture below). The approach most likely meant by user Kamej is the gully by Šmohorca aka right gully. We start the ascent on the forest road crossing the former Ošven ski slope (winter toboggan run). We follow the road past the hunting hut and slowly on the right, quite obviously, the above-mentioned gully opens up. There is little real climbing in the gully itself, but in dry conditions it is a nice pathless approach that still requires a good dose of caution and knowledge of movement in that terrain. Higher up the gully narrows, crosses the hunting path and brings us by Šmohorca (which we can also climb) to the point between the tower and cross mentioned by Kamej. Regards

Yesterday before dark on Uršlja gora. Snow around half a meter. Up and down on the Železarska path, fully snow-covered, lower part a bit less, from 1100 up real winter. Had to work to the summit, well drifted and wind building more drifts. Nice views and red-colored sky.

To the classic starting point - Ivarčko Lake without problems, dry and plowed.

Still some Friday and Saturday ones. Not filling up with snow yet for this time of year. Had to work hard especially on Friday. And now a new batch of snow. nasmeh

Summit, Velenje, Šoštanj and Celje below.

Mrzlag., Rinke, Skuta, Grintovec and Kočna.

Touring skiers usually go up the road from the direction of Križan or Naravske Ledine.

Yesterday before dark on Uršlja. Up and down via Kozji hrbet. new snow on top about 20 cm, drifted more in places. Pulled a track up and returned on the track.
