Those of us who don't even have a decent little hill in the municipality of residence now envy you a bit. smile

It's true, residents, e.g., of the Ljubljana municipality (and some others too), except for Šmarna Gora, don't have any little hill. In these conditions and restrictions, I don't even want to go to Šmarna Gora. But I wish all who can climb some hill or hillock or at least walk in the forest. Lp

Zvončica, sorry, but maybe now is the right moment to actually discover the beauties of your municipality (whichever it is), various thematic and forest trails and of course little hills. You won't believe how much beautiful and interesting stuff can be found wherever you live.
As for Ljubljana or MOL, the highest little hill is Janče wink You have Debenji vrh, Babna gora, Razore, Križatec,... I can't even write them all. Don't forget, the main limitation is in your head. Good luck

Exactly so, not everything is in the mountain, you can go far on the plain too. Lp. J

Bongo, my three sentences weren't meant as self-pity that I can't go anywhere. I know my municipality quite well, but given its population, all paths are quite visited these days. I've checked and now avoid those paths too. I've really heard of Križatec for the first timesmile. I joined the opinion of palček plezalček. When ločanka posts something, I envy her a bit, but I truly wish her well from the heart like everyone else. And I'm grateful that she posts so I can follow along with the writing and pictures.
And Janezs, it's true, not everything is mountain, you can go far on the plain too. But some of us prefer mountains, others the plain. And since most of us can wait, we'll wait, some easier, some a bit harder. But we will! Nice greetings to all!

Yesterday real spring-like at the top. Summit is dry, nice view, but snow still quite a bit on the north side below the summit. Bees already diligently working after a short break.

Southern paths are dry, ice only on the path from the first bend above the ramp.

Found glasses with prescription.

Ha ha, a little bit.
Just let them open the passage between municipalities, and we'll come to your end.
Regards and safe steps to all from under the beautiful Golte, Janezsmile

I'm interested in what the conditions are like on Uršlja gora.
Is there any snow on the path?
Thanks for the reply and best regards.

It'll be tough if you find it anywhere.

I was up there on Saturday.

First try via Grofova, got lost and with help of a kind lady got to Poštarski dom, from there via Kal to summit and descent via Železarska back to start at Ivarčko lake.

No snow anywhere!

Hello, would any expert be kind enough to briefly describe (intermediate points) the path from ŽP Ravne to Uršlja gora, preferably not the steepest variant.
Also interested in approx hours of average walking. Thanks in advance.

Years ago we walked there past the ski hut, over Kozji hrbet (steep) or past Naravske ledine (gentler). Ca 4 hrs.
Back then it was still possible to ski right up to the blocks at Čečovje.

Psychopath at work eek

Hikers noticed nails on Železarska path.

Careful if heading to Uršlja gora in coming days. The path to this popular Carinthian peak has nails in roots driven by an unknown person. Hikers noticed nails on Železarska path. The matter has reportedly been forwarded to authorities, hikers also removed many nails, but caution is never too much.

Yesterday afternoon to Uršlja from Ivarčkega via Kozji hrbet up, descent to Šmoharco, back to summit and down Grofovska. No word of nails. But lid of logbook box torn off. Met no one on both paths of course. So along path bit below summit enjoyed watching two goats grazing. nasmeh
