Yesterday Janez from Mozirje called me if I'd go see edelweiss, and I was all in! big grin
His partner joined and local guide Zdravko, just in case big grin
Lots of nice things happened, I was really pleasantly surprised by the sight, the quantity of edelweiss blew me away big grin

Can one reach Križan (from Ciganije or similar) with a personal car (not an off-roader)? We plan to make a bigger loop to save an hour and a half.
And - Where is the food better: Dom na Uršlji gori or Koča na Ledinah?

The road from Slemena - Ciganije to Križan is normally drivable with a personal car.

We went, did the trip, walked 11km in a loop..

Last week after a long drive we parked at Naravske ledine and climbed to the top. The views were obscured by fog from the south, a bit was visible to the north. Before the descent we refreshed ourselves in the hut.

This Saturday 7.12.2019 I chose nighttime Uršlja gora as first goal and awaited sunrise there. Someone, I think the hut keeper, even decorated the bench on Uršlja summit with lights - very nice and praiseworthy. The hut was open already at 6am too. What can I say - Uršlja gora never disappoints. RECOMMEND EARLY MORNING VISIT TO URŠLJA GORA still this month, pics say more...

Yesterday 1.1.2020 to Uršlja gora via Kozji hrbet for first path of the year. Path normally passable, at cca 1200m snow starts a bit icy so microspikes come in handy for more comfortable walking. There were huge crowds of people. Views excellent.

Hello. I'm interested in what the conditions are for the path to Uršlja Gora from Naravne Ledine, if it's icy anywhere, do we need mini crampons? Thanksnasmeh

Črna-Uršlja-Sleme

As part of the hiked K-24 we set off at 20h from Črna towards Žerjav, there we turn into the burrow, later towards Naravne Ledine. The ground is mostly dry for this time with some icy spots. On the hill there are tracks, drinking and some sweaty shirt is changed for a dry one. We descend towards Križan. Also on this side at the top some snow mixed with ice. During the descent my heart ticks faster with joy, thinking how Nejc and I nicely removed fallen trees completely. (it bothers me that Markacists didn't even sniff this part of the path). At Križan the agreed car waits. We stuff into it excess gear, get rid of sweaty clothes. On the almost dry road we go towards Andrejev dom.

We headed to Uršlja Gora from Poštarska koča via Kozarnica, descent via Kal. Snow starts at around 1000m, with more of it at higher altitude. On both paths we were the first approachers, and it went without problems. At the top winter idyllvelik nasmeh.
