With winter tires no problem. Plowed towards Kisovec to the junction to Mala Planina. Parking at the quarry not plowed.

I don't have the best experiences with the road to Volovljek in winter conditions. I don't know if anything has changed now that it's fully asphalted, but it used to be that those roads weren't salted in winter. And that resulted in it being an impossible ice rink most of the time in winter. From Črnivc to Volovljek isn't such a problem, the road is relatively wide and gentle, but the descent on the other side I wouldn't recommend in such conditions. But as said, maybe something has changed in between, asphalt is much easier to clear.

Is it already worth taking snowshoes, I plan to go up on Friday or how much is the path trodden towards Zeleni rob.

Snowshoes worth taking, the path was trodden but due to strong wind snowdrifts form and it sinks deeply... at least today it was like that... Road OK, at the quarry cleared for 3 cars, the rest untouched...(about 20cm)

Road to parking-quarry drivable without issues and parking no problem, not that much snow. Today started to Mala Planina and on to chapel (Marije Snežne) on Velika Planina. From there up to Gradišče and down to Zeleni rob. Returned to Jarški dom for mulled wine and back down to the car. It was windy all the way blowing snow around, sinking only a bit in a few places, so snowshoes not needed.

@michael66: snowshoes not needed because I walked ungroomed paths: Gojška planina, Dovja ravan to Ušivec and back on road, I can say snowshoes not needed, because even with them you sink massively. Mostly crusty snow, so you sink less than without them but harder to lift the leg. Where snow is hard, easier with snowshoes, same where soft. Compared to Sunday walk, snow different soft, me without snowshoes: about equally strenuous both,

We started from Stahovica at 9:20 and no crowd was seen. Went to Gradišče. Path was ok. I went up in summer running shoes, down in gojzerji, though could have gone down in sneakers too but might have soaked them. People had crampons, gaiters even snowshoes ... Pics: PS: forgot to write, stamp at Gradišče is disastrous, got only triangle, tried twice, even sponge didn't help.

Does anyone maybe have info if ascent to Velika Planina via Dolski Graben is trodden or what the situation is?

Completely trodden trail, in the central part in the gully frozen under windblown leaves, otherwise no special features.
