From Stahovice to Primož, fallen trees are no longer an obstacle, higher up no ice damage at all.

Also today's trip from Kranjski rak presented no problems. Ice damage danger almost none, paths trodden, with a little courage can get past rak to quarry parking (on road some icy patches). To rak road passable dry and trees removed. Today weather awful - fog and poor visibility, strong wind and rain drizzle.

Yesterday road dry to parking at quarry, snow further to Velika planina quite wet. Today nicely snowing, forecasted cca 10cm new... Can call inn at Kranjski rak for first-hand info!

Today again the classic (Stahovica - sv. Primož - Jarški dom). Real snow starts a bit below Pasje pečine, the lower path is very snow-covered, so I recommend the path over the hill. Tomorrow might be a real winter fairy tale on VP.

You can count on approx. 2.5 hours to Gradišče - the highest point of Velika Planina at 1666m.

Zamet or someone else - what's the situation on Velika Planina for skiing? Have you been walking or skiing up there in the last few days? I'm most interested from Kranjski Rak or from the quarry towards the top. Is there enough snow for skiing?

This afternoon we were up there. From the quarry onwards there's enough snow, as the snowcat is still running. There were quite a few skiers too. For the weekend it might be crowded given the nice weather forecast.

Hi
On Sunday I was up from Kranjski Rak, on foot. From the parking lot it's about 50m already kinda bad, then there's still enough snow- at least there was, cuz a couple went up with skis. Up there there's anyway like a meter of snow.
