Velika Planina

When we are on Velika Planina,
we step in lower gear,
so that all the beauty does not pass too quickly,
of crocuses, primroses and the view of the pastures.
Truly a spring-blooming grove,
to which we gladly return.

Of course it's still winter in the mountains

The highland is one single flowering field

...along the path of this flowering grove

And also the shepherd's hut, it was a wonderful day

And again the blue sky showed itself, for farewell

The Lila river flows across the mountain pasture.

Meteorologists forecast clearing tomorrow afternoon after morning rain. If we trust them, they also forecasted a clear morning today, but clearness lasted only about an hour then clouds arrived. West wind blowing, higher probably north. So the decision is yours Ninđa.

@slavi0902 and pohodnik38 probably both already admired these beauties of Velika Planina, so you know well that it all looks even much prettier in nature.

Today we did a family trip to the "Arboretum",... of course to Velika Planina, which boasts wonderful purple colors.

A bit before the parking area there's a small snow patch that can be driven with a bit more energy. That was last week, today probably better.

Me and my buddy went past that parking—called Rakove Ravni area—on foot from guesthouse in Kranjski Rak. First time so didn't go up to park. Parking is large. Gravel road is wide. From parking there was snow then. Probably that one. From Rakove Ravni parking to Mala planina less than an hour, to Velika to chapel good 1.5h pleasant walk, I think from parking. Mala and Velika planina have many nice huts for refreshment and good food. Highly recommend! Now no snow but full of flowers—Enjoy! L.P.
