Easy sports from Kranjski Rak. Crampons and gaiters not needed. Today sunny but windy. You can step into skis a few steps aside from the parking lot.
Only part of the path, I already forgot to turn it on at the beginning right away, well, then I forgot again.1

On such a nice day I really wanted to go somewhere higher… but… Our »little one« has been »begging« for more than two years to go touring skiing with us once. And we promised… but nothing happened… Then she pulled out the last »weapon« and wished for it for her birthday… and then it seemed to us it was really time to stop just promising… and we went today. For the first time of course something very easy and short… to get a »taste« as they say… and she liked it, at least that's what she said… and she said she'd go again… only something didn't go into her head… When we skied back down, there followed a disappointed cry: »Whaaaat, is it over alreadiii???? :)

All that higher and longer and more scenic will wait. Today I wouldn't trade for anything else that happy smile on her face and sparkles in her eyes after her first ski tour... nasmeh :)
A bit you have to carry skis on shoulder from the parking... let her get used to it right away that it's not always from car to car :-)1

Yesterday from Stahovica to Gradišče. Nice and long tour for the start of hiking in the mountains, for climbing and 2000ers it'll wait a bit more. But you can already feel a touch of spring. nasmeh nasmeh nasmeh

Today from Stahovica I head out for a hike to Velika Planina and further to the highest peak Gradišče. Perfect day for hiking and great views on KSA. Many hikers took advantage of the nice day in nature.

Yeah, there really was a crowd on the pasture today, since the weather was gorgeous compared to 14 days ago, when it shone like in Siberia.

@vukovivek we were just paying attention to the cyclist and the photographersmile

Today from Kranjski Rak via Gojška Planina, Mala Planina and Velika Planina to the highest peak of Velika Planina - Gradišče. Weather was a bit windy, cloudy, but still nice. Lots of visitors. Snow is soft - southern, but doesn't sink in.
Already in Kranjski Rak sufficiently clear views of the peaks.1

On 17.3. I chose Stahovica as starting point, because I haven't gone this way yet. The path is good all the way, some broken trees are no problem. Snow only on the pasture and when crossing Pasje Peči, where it was nasty icy in the morning and you have to be careful. It's a nice fitness tour for spring awakening. Regards.

I also visited Gradišče today...started from Krivčevo, where you warm up a bit dodging fallen trees. Higher up it's nicely passable, snow on the pasture is steadily melting...nice spring day up there, today no wind either..smile

Today in light rain from Stahovice. Snow up top is just enough for snowballing. Pasture practically without visitors.

How far can you drive by car from the direction of Kranjski Rak?
What's the path like from Marijanine Njive onwards?
Namely, we're going to Planina, we'd take the stroller too, because the little one won't manage the whole path alone...

Road to Planina Kisovec [has] no trace of snow. Can't go further. Not just [because of] permission, but [a] gate at [the] fork this year nasmeh
Don't know [about] Marijanine Njive, but maybe snow patch up top blocking way - happened to me last year.

Pleasantly surprised today. After [the] pics above worried [about] missing peak bloom. But no. Many crocuses just peeking from [the] ground. Definitely visit planina again in [a] week mežikanje

First time this year on Velika Planina saw so many "trampled" crocuses. [In] quotes because that's how they look. Looks like [a] herd of cows let loose over whole planina trampling all.
Can someone explain why? Already wilted? Wind? Snow?

Up to Marijanine Njive [it's] dry and further too, a bit before Ušivec snow on road, at least last week when [I] walked back to quarry. Problem [is] from parked cars roadside (turning)
Don't know cause of flattened crocuses, didn't notice [it on] Tue[day] and last week mežikanje
