I like the path: upper gondola station, pl.Konjščica, pl.Dol, pl.Rzenik, Konj. Descent to pl.Dol and then along Martinj path to the starting point.
So I take a one-way gondola ticket and descend on foot. The descent is very steep and dangerous for slipping.
The tour is also possible in the opposite direction, Boris!

I think there are so many paths on Velika Planina that everyone can choose one suitable for themselves. From the crowded ones to solitary ones, you just need to have a map with you.

Velika Planina is simply BIG and BEAUTIFUL only if there's no fog nasmeh

How is it this year with night tobogganing on Velika Planina? 3 years ago they had it on Fridays and Saturdays on the snow-covered road next to the ski slope under the chairlift. If anyone knows, please let me know, thanks. Petra

Night tobogganing is still possible. Price 12€ for adults and 8€ for children.

Does anyone perhaps know how it is with the drivability of the road to Velika Planina - how far can you get by car these days? Also towards Planina Dol?

Yesterday we headed to Velika planina. We set off only at 16h. We started at Kalcit. To Primož without problems because not much snow had fallen yet. A bit higher snow started accumulating and we slowly began wading, more and more. To Pasje pečine still fairly ok (wading to 30-30cm), later from Pasje pečine toward the top to Jarški dom up to our asses (ok50-60cm). After stubborn wading we finally reached J.dom but unfortunately it was closed, so we continued to Domžalski dom which luckily was open. It took about two hours. We refreshed a bit and immediately rushed back to the valley. The return path was a bit easier, because downhill you wade more easily. A few times we properly fell over and became snowmen. Over Pasje pečine full caution was needed as smaller avalanches had taken the path. Well, it was nice although dark and fun.

Is it OK to go tomorrow to Velika? Would start from Stahovica or Jurček inn.

How much snow has fallen up there, can one wade a bit, no snowshoes...

Alex113, on Wednesday, 26.03. I was up there from Volovljek (Kranjski Rak). To Gojško, past Jarški to Domžalski dom, and further to Zeleni Rob ...
There was a foot track, but only to Domžalski. Don't know about the Kisovec side. From Domžalski onward only ski tracks (which I deepened myself)! smile

Yeah, comfy ski trip, would be fine also with snowshoes, on foot ... rolling eyes

Lots of snow (what do I know, check the pics), wind has already played its game too ... wink

How is Velika Planina hiked (from Stahovica or Volovljek)?

Since I have no time on weekends and have quite a few circuits etc. that I'm diligently collecting, I wonder if it's possible to get a stamp at Domžalski dom during the week too.

Yesterday I was on Velika. A real fairy tale! Path from Stahovica well trodden. Domžalski dom open non-stop. Snow starts a bit before Pasje pečine, lots on top ca. 1m, but yesterday frozen, so we walked on top. Nice hike, Franci.
