A walk on Velika Planina. Jelšev konfin, Gojška planina, past Jarški and Domžalski dom to Gradišče. From Gradišče to Zeleni rob for štruklje. Down a little our own way. The road really isn't salted, but it's nicely plowed. No crampons or gaiters, and no wind either, so at -8 there was no feeling of cold.

At 8 we meet with a colleague at the parking lot of gostilna Jurček (Krivčevo). The path is initially dry (frozen). Soon we leave the marked path and find the hunting trail. Nicely executed under the cliffs, exposed spots secured with cable or wire. For a moment we disturb a herd of chamois who curiously watch us. After two hours of ascent we reach Dom na Kisovcu. Here the snow begins, which causes us no trouble. Past Planina Kisovec to Mala Planina and first stop at Jarški dom. The colleague invites us to a good snack (buckwheat žganci, jota, beans...). After filling our bellies, up the slope: Bukovec, Gojška planina. Sun, beautiful views and good conditions for wandering around the plateau. Follows a steep descent and shortly before 15 we are at the starting point at Jurček. Of course, a visit to the inn to say goodbye in peace. Thanks "ejti" for the invitation and of course for all the goodies we enjoyed during our trip!cool

S...z, if you're early enough, you'll wade into fresh snow above Primož. When at "Mickina bajta" I suggest heading straight over Pirčev vrh.

Today road from Rak to v.p. almost impassable due to ice, I tried only 100m but turned, parked nicely at Rak parking lot and continued on foot then with skis to Šimnovec where ski area operates and is well groomed, but there was fog, well that too has to be. jezik

Yesterday from Stahovica via Sv. Primož to Velika planina. To Mickina bajta path without peculiaritiesnasmeh, from there onwards stepping with microspikes is safer and more comfortable. Nice sunny weather accompanied us to Domžalski dom, then a change mrk pogled to real winter with snowstorm. We continued to Zeleni rob and descent to Šimnovec. We caught the cable car and descended to the valley mežikanje.

It's true that Velika Planina never disappoints. Today we set off from Kranjski Rak along the road past the larger parking lot, up to which you can also drive by car, the road is plowed and smooth... We continue left towards Mala Planina to Jarški Dom, which was today's goal for the youth and me. We also return the same way, lots of visitors, nice weather and no wind either.

Hello. Does anyone have recent info on conditions from the lower station of the gondola through Planina Dol to Velika Planina? Thanks and safe in the mountains.

When your heart sings. No wind, no cloud, pure whiteness. Towards Mareta still virgin trail-breaking up to the knees. New snow is 30 cm. Over Pasje pečine not yet trodden - too dangerous, so over Pirčev vrh, time-wise only about a minute longer path. Met the local matador Iztok, who was already returning from Planina.
@ame, for now I'd advise against Dolški graben, as the snow heavily gives way, steepness is no joke. Haven't been there otherwise, but that's my guess.
