In the morning there was still fog and light snowfall, full sun on descent.
At the parking lot by the quarry there were some cars, mostly 4x4s. Road is snowy of course, but not icy yet... it will be on thaw. zadrega

The ratrak to Domžalski dom eased our walk a lot, no need for snowshoes today.
Otherwise cold, wind, in short... nice. mežikanje

To Jarški dom there are quite serious winter conditions.

On the way back it has already cleared above Gojska planina.

From Calcit via Primož and past Pasje pečine up to Velika Planina. Path is trodden, not much new snow. Also across Mala planina to Jarška koča no problem with excessive snow.

today to Mala Planina from Raka... first fog, then sun, fog again, sun again, fog down - still wonderful as always on Velika, though only on Mala nasmeh

I picked a nicer day. nasmeh

This time start from Jurček (Krivčevo), past Senožetnik and due to conditions over Jelšev konfin, instead of my nicer shorter path past Kisovec. That trail no one went recently, passable only with skis or snowshoes. Snow sinks to ass. On VP lots of snow, as "garmont and "roker showed, fairy-tale in sun. Mentioned path morning well trodden and hard, Sunday crowd may hinder walking at least lower part badly.

Where it's always nice regardless of the weather. Today alone nowhere anyone, met no one. From Kranjski Rak quarry parking exactly, to where the road is dry we head to Gradišče. To Domžalski dom only high clouds, then snowing, light then heavier but didn't bother us. To Zelena rob for coffee, still sleepy from yesterday's party. On return bit of fog to shepherd hut, nothing worse, parking more cars already.

Horror. End of March, warnings avalanche III above 1500m. Where else than Vel'ka. This time took camera, divine day forecast and it was.
To Primož mud hard frozen, higher white powder, over 1000m winter we'd want January. At former Mickina hut better to Pirčev vrh, less danger than lower path. Timed arrival Jarški dom before alpine quals start...

No need snowshoes, trail well trodden. Advise more caution just under Pirčev vrh, can slip on icy base covered with powder.

Yesterday I was on Velika Planina from Kranjski Rak... more precisely from the parking lot at the quarry. The road is snowy but drivable with winter tires. The path further all the way to Gradišče is passable without issues. Planina was still completely wintry yesterday, in the sun, though few hikers. nasmeh

I was there in the evening, no hikers, quite a few snowmobiles though. There is really still a huge amount of snow. Velika Planina is the best.

Today 25.3., I decided to head (despite fog) to Velika Planina. Started from Kranjski Rak. To Gojška Planina used microspikes - highly recommended. On Mali and Velika Planina dry snow, so it kinda "mills" under the feet. Despite thick fog with no view met quite a few hikers. At Zeleni Rob drank tea and back same path to start. Very satisfied with today's winter tour - though weather was bad nasmeh

. As "zamet" wrote snow really still huge. Lesson to all going above 1200m a.s.l., IT'S STILL VERY VERY WINTER THERE!! jezik
