Yes, unfortunately non-mountaineering factors often influence the choice of tour, and then it doesn't work out at the best time. The world is really wild and solitary, I'll come to check that traverse path towards Primož, but really not in summer, hehe.

Yesterday I was up again, this time via Rigelj. Down below wild garlic is already drying out, otherwise lush vegetation along (on) the whole path. Due to night rain the path was slippery, grass still wet, so Gore-Tex was really tested. The path is well traceable, 10 min. before exiting the steep slope at the mighty fallen spruce I don't know why I went right, instead of along the uprooted roots left and straight up the slope. Very few visitors, probably more on the east of Planina, where they have a new black road

The path via Rigelj will probably be my regular companion this year. Little visited path, under the edge you can only bump into a piglet. The chairlift is really prehistoric, last year it could still compete. Not on Gradišče, not at Teran, only at home I realize I have a somewhat dark leg. With my wife we remove 37 ticks. The fields on the plateau are colored again. This time yellow with a multitude of blooming dandelions.

Yes, there are huge numbers of ticks this year. They just jump here and there!

The leg is fortunately improving, but very, very slowly. With the cable car I'll get loaded with ticks like never in my life. Unfortunately so few people walk this path that I always 'harvest' all the ticks, repellents don't work much, long gaiters bother me terribly on steep ascent.

I pick them up wherever I show up. This year I already had cca. 15 attached. The number of ticks I just removed as they crawled on me...?
This year even spraying and rubbing with home-made apple vinegar doesn't save me

Nice photos. I'm very glad that you name the flowers, obviously you're a good connoisseur, with that I too learn what some flowers are called.
I know quite a few myself, years ago I studied mountain botany well, well, with years some is forgotten.

Yes, Silvo masters it. I struggle to remember even the basics. Luckily with hills it's at least a bit different.
On the last visit the stepmotherly treatment of 'ours' annoyed me again. Various goodies are decaying here that were made in 'our' times with joy and sacrifice. Last time I photographed Šimnovec courtyard, lo and behold, something happened already. They already dragged one work machine somewhere, I hope they didn't dump it in some pit. This time I noticed also the coil of thick load-bearing (haulage) rope, which has been lying by the hotel for so long that it is thoroughly rotten.

Today family outing, first time on new asphalt to parking at quarry. Road...excellent.
The loop we did from Jelšev konfin, Mala and Velika Planina and back also.

If it's no problem, I'd ask for one piece of advice. End of September we're going to Velika Planina and this time by car because we're going for two days to one hut and we'll have lots of stuff. How far can you go by car? Last time we went up by gondola, but on the way home I saw that on the other side there is a road. Many thanks for the advice :-)
