Today up from Calcita, over Pirčev vrh, stop at Jarški dom, goal at Gradišče. No hikers, hut empty, apparently closed from Mon to Wed now. Pleasant chat by the warm stove with Lidija, full of energy. Path was dry, tomorrow even drier, more sun too, so welcome. Some pics from Gradišče.

A little after nine up again. This time through Dolški graben. Dry below, higher wet stones which are good help when dry. No rain, suitable temperature except right at Gradišče top where extremely strong wind blew. Fences on pastures stored or lowered to ground, dead silence on Planina. In emergency (clothes change) stopped at Zeleni rob and ordered tea. "Zlatarji" sell it for 2.5€ in pots slightly larger than coffee cups. Comparison: at Jarški dom with Lidija half-liter tea for 2.2€. Maybe competition at Šimnovec will change it, as they'll renovate long-closed hotel. Up alone, down (cable car) alone.

Not much snow (cca 5cm), except where drifted. Snow cover starts around 1100m.

Today up through Dolski Graben, lower part mud nicely chopped, higher some icy snow, on Dolska Ravnina already some 15cm dry. Temperature fitting the date, but rheumatic fingers already 'announced themselves'. Warmed them by shifting to higher gear. At Gradišče real winter with snow, fog, wind and cold, so quickly to the inn, only guest there, none on Planina either.
As a curiosity: On the drive to the start, at three degrees a shirtless runner comes towards me

Yes, I agree Redbul. In principle. But I'm also "allergic to mountain bikers! Not just like that. I've had some pretty bad (almost very bad!) incidents and a few times a bit less bad but still not quite innocent. Anyway, mountain bikers shouldn't be allowed on some hiking trails! Cheers and stay safe!

Grega doesn't use many embellishing expressions. Sometimes a note or spoken word isn't for tender and sensitive ears. He writes what he thinks and doesn't wrap in nice packaging. Calls a bob a bob!
