For today's VP visit I equipped myself a bit differently, since I expected lots of snow up top. I wasn't wrong, early in the morning there was a good 35cm at 1500. Completely southern snow that sprinkled off the trees on the return, as strong thaw and sun did their work. The sweetness was really short, at Mickina hut was the rain boundary. At Lidija in Jarški by the stove is like my home couch...

Skuta (in summer) 100% more expensive than at the base.

My heart leaps in virgin snow, even if it's over half a meter.

In front of Jarški. Approach direction - poles.

Lidija had already cleared half the yard before my arrival.

Over the weekend, a real idyll is expected here,...

Velika Planina never disappoints and not today either. It was a nice warm sunny day in snowy idyll of the plateau. Sadly snow melts fast and too little for skiing. New chairlift awaits snow and visitors. This time sharing panoramic photos. Enjoy my today's views.

Yesterday again hop to my favorite spot. From dense dark cold fog I emerge already before parking at Vegrad. Started late, so sun caressed me almost whole ascent. In less than a week it took 30cm snow, day incredibly warm, no wind. I change in niche of closed Domžalski dom annex, go to little hill above it to photo surroundings. Workers on Planina still super active, right before Domžalec digging trench for optics and waters with special machine to lay underground across planina. Curious how they'll firm up degraded road after. Since Domžalski and Jarški doms closed, real crowd from Kranjski Rak at Črnuški. After tasty tea head back approach way, to Primož meet no soul.

Last remnants of the 40-centimeter blanket from six days ago.

But here it is closed due to the richer one.

Mrzla gora, Planjava and Ojstrica, before Planjava Rzenik and Konj.

Not even in summer was there so much construction machinery here

Where it should cheerfully smoke from the raufnki.

I don't get it, do I have no clue anymore about what's happening. Opening of Domžalski dom - now closed again.

Domžale hut is open from Wednesday to Sunday, at least that's what it says on the PD Domžale website.

There is no information about opening hours on the PZS website or on the doors of the mountain hut.

Apparently the huts on Mali Planina operate like this:
Črnuški hut from Mon to Sun,
Domžale hut from Wed to Sun,
Jarški hut from Thu to Sun.

The new chairlift is fast and pleasantly quiet. Midnight mass successful. So many visitors that a Christian had no place to sit in the inn.

Super walk to Gradišče in excellent weather conditions. Practically no snow left, as days are too warm. The new chairlift was quite lively, finally removed the machines.

Yesterday Velika Planina was unique again. It offered warm sun, blue and white sky, mists, cool wind and a little snow, but enough for kids to enjoy and rejoice. But winter, where are you, when December smells more like spring.

Yesterday it was nice up there again. Patches of snow above 1400, no flowers yet nasmeh

. Watch out! The bus (van) runs these days with a changed timetable.

For the New Year, rocks and grass are out.

6% utilization of the new six-seater lift.

Also in Domžalec they have a new girl, but the menu, except for tea, I have guaranteed at home nasmeh

Yesterday despite gloomy weather up there, I did a nice walk between Calcit and Šimnovec. No one anywhere except in taverns, thin layer of white not even for snowballing, as it's frozen, chairlift surprisingly operates though no one on seats. Bus runs on old timetable again, if no delay, you're still at Šimnovec at twelve, at 12.15 by the car in front of Calcit.
