robter Upper and Lower plot are for us and our action two more peaks, of course on two different days... mežikanje

But for us "locals" it will always be Triangel... mežikanje

Despite the bad weather forecast, the sun greeted us in the morning at Ljubelj nasmeh

. The path to Zelenica is quite unpleasant at the start, as the snow is quite trampled and thus icy in places. In between also icy rocks. But the path from Vrtača station to the hut at Zelenica is super. You can reach there without crampons, they are not needed even back to the valley. At the hut on Zelenica a nice presentation of trekking in Nepal by our three friends awaits us mežikanje

. But it's a pity to sit in the hut in such nice weather, so we go to Ljubeljščica Peak (Triangel). The path rises steeply quite fast eek

, but it is well trodden and poses no problems. The summit offers really wonderful views today. We'll use the sun a bit more, so we descend to the path to Vrtača and walk to the junction where the path turns to Vrtača summit. As the sun started to leave, we left too. Wonderful day you had to seize with full lungs, just I missed half today to breathe with me zadrega

A nice afternoon ski tour from car to car. Ljubelj was of course in the shade and it was cold, but Darja and I weren't cold at all mežikanje

. We skinned up on skis and kept each other's pace. Above the new hut we stepped into the sun, which smiled at us from above Begunjščica, pearls glistened on the powder, we sat for a long time behind the edge where it was completely calm and enjoyed the January sunshine and beautiful views, we didn't talk about the name of the goal. Then we skied down through about 2-3 cm of powder on hard snow base, which got less towards Ljubelj, but we skied to the car. Short and very sweet nasmeh

Up there it's called Čez Pod at 1700m, higher than the Triangel ridge aka Spodnji Plot 1680m southeast above Zelenica hut. I see you still had plenty of snow for skiing, it's one of the few here right now that contributes to the lower flattened ski slope. Igor, even the barriers of the Trenta ridges don't stop you velik nasmeh

but currently you can ski down very well from Zelenica, there's enough snow band along the whole route...(not on the avalanche)

Well today morning it wasn't so Siberian, it was a clear morning with some wind that didn't bother me.
I start at Ljubelj past Zelenica to Triangel, back I ski down the nicely groomed ski slope which is also operating except the middle part which isn't groomed due to lack of snow but you can ski it.
Well then I pop over to the hut at Ljubelj, I already meet some sledders.

This afternoon I went to Zelenica and a bit around there. Not much snow, but what there is sinks deeply. Shoes were so soaked when I got back to the parking lot at Ljubelj that they were quite heavy nasmeh

I went up there too, a ptarmigan flushed from the dwarf pines just below the summit. I could only observe its flight.

Today I headed to Zelenica. Along the border path nicely through the forest. Next I thought of Vrtača but it was too overgrown altogether. And I went above the hut towards Triangle. No special path but to the saddle also without it. At the saddle instead of left to Ljubelj straight ahead nicely. And already at Triangle. From there nicely see Sp. Plot, the path to it is real effort.. but for eyes... not legs. Quite overgrown path is real paradise for various crawlies. mrk pogled

Last part of path to Sp. Plot is quite exposed when wet. But today path despite threatening clouds was still dry on my visit. Summit not spacious. But offers wonderful views!

Since fresh powder deterred us from advancing to Palec, we with colleague turned around in Suho rušje and went to Triangle. Snow above Zelenica cca 30 cm, lower above Ljubelj of course less. Ski track pulled to the top but sure wind will cover it. At moments today really storming, views still wonderful.
