Vrh Ljubeljščice (Triangel)

One of my favorite hills for those times "when I don't feel like going higher", I tried today also as an evening cooldown.
And it worked out great. If you start at Ljubelj after 6pm, the path to Dom na Zelenici and then to the summit is all in shade and nice cool.

I met surprisingly few people. Just two Frenchmen at the hut, one nice hiker below the summit, and one overtook me on the way back.

I hoped a bit for a nice sunset but I was way too late (8pm on top).
On the summit I waited for dusk and the real chill smelling of autumn, then down with headlamp. Mostly on macadam so as not to "break" too much in the dark on the occasionally tricky marked path.

Below Vrtača hut I sat a bit, enjoyed the cool, tried to catch shooting stars but didn't get as many as promised these days.

Evening Zgornji Plot is a super choice for these awful days, way better than sweating in the (over)hot apartment in the evening and grumbling about the heat. Will go again at such an hour.

Yesterday I was tempted to look closer exactly which is Vrh Ljubeljščice (Triangel), Spodnji plot, Zgornji plot, Na možeh and pass Čez pod. All that and more on view a bit above Zelenica.

this little peak had visitors too, but has no name

below the path is visible which then follows the ridge

Yesterday above 1500m really nice day, lower dense fog. Path to summit nicely passable even for walkers. Best, Tadej

Would it be possible to change this topic title to Ljubeljšica, since Triangel no longer exists - all ski lifts removed.

In Slovenia there is no mountain named Triangel.

Corrected. Triangel remains in parentheses because most who climb to the summit use the name Triangel.

For us "natives" it will still be Triangel. Just like Košutica is for us Lbeska Baba nasmeh

Today on Zelenica and around beautiful sunshine and about 40 cm of new snow, which is mostly already windblown. A friend counted 45 people at once on the slope, meaning there were at least 150 on Begunjščica, Zelenica and Triangel today.

Snow is powdery only in deep shade, otherwise slightly southern and of course unprocessed. On the Šentanski slope it's crusty here and there, a few times I properly hit a rock. Still missing some 40 cm, maybe some more on Tuesday nasmeh

Exemplarily groomed ski slope with children's lift. That's all that's left of Zelenica.

Numerous ski tracks lead to Triangel and from it.

Didn't find the key today, but noticed at 15:00 Tadej during the patrol with the car, when he made a detour over the lower road at St. Ana mežikanje

Late afternoon on Ljubeljščica Peak. The snow in the sun was still mushy, in the shade above 1400 meters frozen, and crusty to depth in many places.

Some early morning shots. In lower part walking on ski slope prohibited due to chairlift pillars dismantling. Must use official marked path through forest.
