You can get there with summer tires almost to Erjavčeva

Well, to Tonka it would go then a bit higher but so-so
because side wheel tracks in the snow in case of maneuvering ...otherwise yesterday before Erjavčeva a bit of digging also with winter tires ,,soft snow on the parking and road ...dunno

Today the sun on Vršič was pleasantly warming. The road was passable to the top today, but there's a possibility it gets snowed in again. Avalanches from Mojstrovka and Robičje were constantly sliding. Staff at Erjavčeva hut very friendly, food very tasty. All praise to the keepers. Best regards

A few more of ours from today. Road also today passable to the top, dry with some icy sections right at the top. Snow frozen in the morning, already before 10 it was breaking through and starting to slide from Mojstrovka. We mainly met day-trippers who bravely pushed up towards MM and Šitna glava even after 10. On return a bit below Erjavčeva hut we met a Dutch guy towing a camping trailer with his car.

After morning tour to Mala Mojstrovka another quick jump to Vršič summit. Snow completely melted (a month ago it was still all covered with thick snow blanket). Nice regards.

We used the path along the old road from Tonkina koča to Poštarski dom on Vršič for an excursion for our youngest mountaineer.

the old road is a comfortable path for everyone

Today a short afternoon walk to Vršič summit and Sovna glava. Suitable tour for family outing. Nice mountaineering regards.

Yesterday a nice short tour to Vršič summit. Started at Tonkina koča and went along the old Vršič road to Vršič top. Back along the normal path. At the top quite cold and windy. Views nice though. Nice mountaineering regards.
