With the whimsical April forecast, like now, it's not worth rushing to the high mountains, mid-mountain goals remain for us, where it can be just as fine.. Poncho in the backpack, and we're off. Not too far, as you know.

No poncho, a jacket with sleeves is always in the backpack, so as far as rain goes, no rush.

Just now a violent, prolonged thunderstorm hit Ljubljana.
Luckily no hail, so I don't have to drag Anhovo corrugated sheets (much stronger roofing than former salonitka) with a rope onto the roof and replace them again. Last year it was pierced with a 4 cm diameter as if it were a joke, and it's hard to cut even with a flex.
Strong thunderstorm in Ljubljana that doesn't subside!1

With such gray clouds when I look up at the sky it's best to stay home... but I don't know if I'll hold out another week without reaching summits.

About the fresh snow from the morning view in front of Brdo Castle at seven in the morning.

From Kriška to Krvavec almost nothing, except on Kočna and Grintavec a light dusting of white.

The Stol slightly whitened, but not too low.

All visible Julians with Triglav in the middle look heavily whitened down to the visible mid-mountain - maybe 1800 m.

Before the end of the week it will be more tedious to go to the Julians.

Weather zmeden Since we know hills, mountains, hills and peaks and we know strolling, wandering, mountaineering and alpinism, and also (post)climbing, depending on the weather something always turns up if the desire for moving in nature is big zavijanje z očmi

How reliable is this weather forecast that's specified for each mountain/hill separately?

From my experience it's so-so, also depends a bit on luck if it holds, sometimes really funny that one hill or mountain has forecast cloudy and rain, another which is a good kilometer away has sun, best to follow the forecast at the TV news, not 100% either, if you decide to go you go and whatever happens, that's how I do nasmeh

Super and accurate forecast is the following:
http://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Triglav
When you get the link to the mountain, click on the altitude you're interested in for weather and temperature on the mountain and get the data.mežikanje

They really missed that and relocated it right to the Hungarian plain. Otherwise, after following also on terrain (France, Austria), quite accurate forecast, amount of precip, temp. Just looked at Austrian weather for Schobergruppe and predicts Monday afternoon more thunderstorms and rain than Tuesday aft., confirmed on weather forecast with Monday 3mm precip, Tuesday 2mm.

Hello!
Question to the editor: in what way are the weather forecast data for individual peaks updated? Today there is a forecast for a specific peak until Saturday, for some peaks only until Friday, but old data from Monday onwards are still visible.
Thanks and best regards.

In principle, they should update at least once a day, but lately there have been some issues and it's not updating as it should.

I check hribi.net for Slovenian mountains (just informatively I'd ask the editor how you get the data) and vreme.net.

For border areas and other foreign areas, I just type into Google e.g. for German-speaking area: wetter <mountain name> or Italy meteo <mountain name>, if no mountain data then nearest town.

For Austria there's also good e.g.: www.bergfex.at

Excellent forecast for Carnic and Western Julian Alps, also hits almost spot on for Bovec area!

And this one is no fly-by-night, short-term super and for a week or more ahead more than solid (at least for orientation, whether weather turns better or worse).

Looks like snow on Triglav after 17.9, whoever hasn't been up there yet should go this Saturday/Sunday.
