Weather, weather forecast, danger...

Well, you go when you judge the conditions are ok... I remember e.g. when Triglav on Nov 1 was almost snow-free, just a few patches for show, that happens too...

Of course it will still be bare, even if snow falls, since it's only September.

Snow level will drop to around 1500m above sea level. From next Tuesday onwards fresh mornings and slightly warmer afternoons with temperatures between 5 and 23 °C. With this front passage summer will say final goodbye, but we can expect pleasant autumn next week with sunny and mostly dry weather. Copy ZEVS

In Bovec area they say on TV that with heavy rain wind uproots even trees!. In Ljubljana currently still lull, some thunder but clouding increasingly. Something brewing here too

KSA has whitened somewhere above 2200 meters. Tomorrow, if it's warm and sunny, it will take it away because there's really little to see.

Such a panic about how much snow there'll be and oh and all, totally classic for our weather forecasters... when they predict panic, there isn't any, but when they don't forecast anything serious then Železniki, hail storms etc. happen... Shame!

Interesting that this time the Austrian weather forecasters and Italian meteo also got it wrong. The cold front actually stopped in northern Austria, partially crossed southern Austria, and arrived to us already weakened. I think it's too early for any serious cooling, because summer heated too much and is still heating-accumulating land and sea.

urbancek@ you write as if our meteorologists are inventing tomorrow's weather. Do you know how much data and calculation is needed for a forecast? You just dismiss them from behind your coffee. Well, give your forecast then, of course correctly.

urbanček, the panic was made more by our arrogant journalists than meteorologists, who make sensations where there are none. As for Železniki, no meteorologist could predict something like that. There were quite other things involved (mainly uncleared torrent beds) and not just a really very extreme weather event.

wolphgang: As many times as they've goofed the weather just this year is shameful... with all the technology. I get that there might be some DAY when they miss... But there were about 14 such this year I think...

As for the weather, two are to blame for the panic on the forum, the rest anyway know how to check the weather ourselves and act according to it.

What would one give right now for those insane 150 l/m3 of rain, as much as fell, because the plumbers closed the main valve in the settlement-broken pipe!. Otherwise congrats for the great tour Igor!.
