It won't be long before I celebrate. Celebrate inside myself, quietly and happily. The 40th anniversary of going to the mountains. From small to big, from lower to higher and from easier to harder. In all forms of dry rock and likewise in all forms of winter precipitation. And it was always orng great. Sometimes a bit less, often much more orng great.
Years ago I happily wrote something on the PZS forum and responses, public and private, were pleasantly positive. Then it started, same as here, with blows "below the belt" and I wrote less and less and finally said goodbye. I wrote, write and will write on TK Gora portal, about my beloved ski touring or ski touring trips. I wrote, write here too. Private and public comments and responses, public in terms of meetings with fellow hikers in the mountains, are equally pleasantly positive. The different ones, . . . , everyone has their opinion and taste.
After all, I go to the mountains for myself. And writing something somewhere for myself, more quietly and "secretly" won't be hard at all. In the mountains it's always nice for me, unlike "lately" hardly ever. Reading reports on this and other portals is a pleasant addition to mountaineering activities. And if needed just read and not write . . . won't be hard at all, I've been through that too . . .
Enough, gotta go. To the mountains, to nicer things, when such a nice day is promised . . .

Irina, very true and nicely written. I wish you many more beautiful experiences in nature, to all together a greeting that didn't grow in my herb garden, but I like it a lot: laugh a lot and love each other!nasmeh
Best, Ljubica

@turbo, it was clear that it's orng great for you. May this "lately" last as long as possible.

May love for mountains bring us closer, joys so that thoughts of all walked and experienced warm us in gloomy days.
Thanks for all nice thoughts and wishes. All the best and safe steps on all your/our paths.

Irina, reading your writing really makes one think... How quickly taken-for-granted things can become unreachable... I'm happy for you and wish you many more wonderful moments in the mountains! And maybe for reflection for all who here deal a lot with individuals' posts... as if it even matters...

It's becoming more and more obvious because of whom and what the quarrel on the forum started.
For the patient ones, I keep my fingers crossed that they keep it and share it with others!nasmeh

Of course I noticed, you can't overlook it, that sparks are flying everywhere and I felt sorry for it. St. Gregory's is still far away, but some are already glowing now and that's the most beautiful thing.
I'm expecting their first night hike and wondering if @turbo will get a reflective vest too. Hope you won't count this as too much mischief?

velesa... I agree with your thinking.. but unfortunately that's how it is... I hope Igor will come "back" to this forum and we'll gladly read his posts.
It's interesting that conflicts usually arise when the weather is bad.... and this time too... I have nothing against anyone, but it would be right if we were all a bit more patient with each other... as someone before me wrote.... "live and let live" to others too of course...

It's true that we are just people, but if Irina with her writing made at least a handful of tense folks here think a bit, she achieved her goal. Irina, I wish you many more beautiful moments on the summits of our beautiful mountains and good luck.

I like reading these pages, why... because I like everything connected to mountains. But insults and quarrels certainly don't fit into this concept. I'm also a frequent mountain visitor all year round, actually more often in winter probably because there's less "crowd".
I've walked and climbed many paths but written almost nothing about it, why... because I didn't want to get criticisms, which we all know don't do us any good.
Irina, to you and all others I wish even more beautiful experiences on our peaks.nasmeh

Well, the storm in our little beehive has subsided. Everyone contributed something and that's right. This forum should be a peaceful harbor for us after a tiring day and the joy of sharing the beauty of a hiked tour with like-minded people. Here "up" it should be nice for us so we return gladly and we're responsible for that ourselves.

@Lj, @GITA, @Lunca, @jaz*, @tisa, @strelec1954, I'd like to thank all of you for the nice wishes and thoughts that carry positive energy. And who among us doesn't need it?
I wish you all the best and maybe we'll meet somewhere on the trail someday.

Let them go play and argue on Facebook, which is useless for anything else anyway. This portal should remain serious, professional so we'll be informed about conditions, trail status and that hiking in the mountains will be an even greater pleasure and safenasmeh

Due to the increasingly frequent arguing on the forum and the desire to increase the quality of posts, we are experimentally introducing a new messaging system.
The user who posts an inappropriate message will have posting temporarily disabled. With each subsequent inappropriate post the block will be longer.
Whether a message is bad or good will be determined based on votes of logged-in users. Voting is done by clicking the button next to each forum message (thumbs up - good message, thumbs down - bad message). The vote of a user who posts good messages weighs more than the vote of a user with bad messages.

Additionally, existing users are prohibited from creating new usernames. Thus one person one username.

I welcome your effort regarding cooling overheated discussions. The basis of culture is to know how to express your disagreement appropriately and not offend anyone. Whoever can't do that, it's right to exclude them.

And those who log in with multiple "nicks" also don't have good intentions. Why else would they need multiple logins?

If we'll have a voting option, I think the system should work so that each can vote only 1x per individual contribution. Otherwise minuses or pluses will unrealistically inflate.

Thanks for trying with us and best regards.
