Daunscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 3155 meters and is part of the Stubai Alps. The saddle is located 0.9 km east-northeast of peak Windacher Daunkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Hochstubaihütte, located 2km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Notbiwak. 0.7 km south from the saddle there is glacier Warenkarferner (Rest), 1.8 km west-southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Wütenkarferner. The saddle is located north of the valley Windachtal.
