Gößnitzfeldscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2463 meters and is part of the Schober Group. The saddle is located 3 km east-northeast of peak Hoher Bichl. The nearest mountain hut is Karl-Volkert-Haus, located 3km north. Closer is Information Bricciuskapelle, which is located 2km to the northeast. 4 km north-northwest of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 6 km northwest from the saddle there is glacier Pasterze, 6 km north-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Freiwandkees.
