Description:
Schinal is 2452 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.6 km northeast of peak Hoher Bichl. The nearest mountain hut is Salmhütte, located 1.6km northwest. And bivouac Gernot-Röhr-Biwak is also close by. 4 km north-northeast of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 4 km north-northwest from the summit there is glacier Hofmannskees, 5 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Glocknerkees. The peak is located east of the valley Ködnitztal.
