Description:
Roanscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2768 meters and is part of the Schober Group. The saddle is located 3 km north-northeast of peak Gridenkarköpfe. The nearest mountain hut is Glorerhütte, located 3km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac Gernot-Röhr-Biwak. 5 km north of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 6 km south-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Hornkees, 6 km northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Ködnitzkees. The saddle is located above the valley Gössnitztal.
