Description:
Pfortscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2828 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 1.8 km south-southeast of peak Blaue Köpfe. The nearest mountain hut is Salmhütte, located 1.2km east-northeast. bivouac Figerschupfe is also relatively close. 4 km northeast of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 3 km north-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Ködnitzkees, 3 km north from the saddle there is also glacier Hofmannskees. The saddle is located above the valley Ködnitztal. The saddle is located on the ridge Glatzschneid.
