Description:
Medelspitze is 2669 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km south of peak Blaue Köpfe. The nearest mountain hut is Glorerhütte, located 1.1km east. bivouac Rübezahlhütte is also relatively close. 6 km northeast of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 4 km north from the summit there is glacier Ködnitzkees, 5 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Teischnitzkees.
