Grobtalscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 1610 meters and is part of the Kaiser Mountains. The saddle is located in country Austria 1.0 km north-northwest of peak Kopfkraxen. The nearest mountain hut is Hans-Berger-Haus, located 1.5km northeast. bivouac Babenstuberhütte is also relatively close. 6 km southwest of the saddle there is lake Hintersteiner See.
