Description:
Kopfkraxen is 2180 meter high peak and is part of the Kaiser Mountains. The peak is located 4 km north-northeast from the center of Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser and 6 km north-northwest from the center of Ellmau. The nearest mountain hut is Hans-Berger-Haus, located 2km north-northeast. A bit closer is bivouac Babenstuberhütte, which is located 1.8km to the east. 6 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Hintersteiner See. The peak is located east-southeast of the valley Gaisbachtal.
