Unteres Gamskarköpfl is 1975 meter high peak with a cross in the Kaiser Mountains. The peak is located 0.6 km north-northwest of peak Kopfkraxen. The nearest mountain hut is Hans-Berger-Haus, located 1.7km north-northeast. bivouac Babenstuberhütte is also relatively close. 6 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Hintersteiner See. The peak is located east-southeast of the valley Gaisbachtal.
