The nearest mountain hut is Klammer's Jausenhütte, located 5km north. Karlalm is a bit further away. 5 km east from the saddle there is glacier Schönachkees, 6 km east from the saddle there is also glacier Zillerkees. The saddle is located above the valley Zillergrund.
