The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzensteinhütte - Rifugio al Sasso Nero, located 3km east-northeast. A little further is Alpenverein Ahrntal. 0.6 km south-southwest from the saddle there is glacier Mitterbachkees - Vedretta del Rio di Mezzo, 0.7 km east-northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Schwarzenbachkees - Vedretta di Rio Nero. The saddle is located east-southeast of the valley Zemmgrund.
