Mitterbachjoch is a saddle at an altitude of 3172 meters and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzensteinhütte - Rifugio al Sasso Nero, located 3km east-northeast. A little further is Alpenverein Ahrntal. 0.6 km west-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Hornkees, 0.8 km southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Mitterbachkees - Vedretta del Rio di Mezzo. Northwest of the saddle is the valley Zemmgrund.
