Similaunjoch

Description:
Similaunjoch is a saddle at an altitude of 3280 meters and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The saddle is located 5 km northeast from the center of Vernagt - Vernago and 6 km north-northeast from the center of Unser Frau - Madonna. The nearest mountain hut is Similaunhütte - Rifugio Similaun, located 3km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 0.5 km south-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Grafferner - Vedretta della Grava, 1.2 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Niederjochferner. The saddle is located north-northeast of the valley Schnalstal. The saddle is located on the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
