Breitegg is 1779 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 2.0 km west-northwest from the center of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße and 6 km southeast from the center of Kaprun. The nearest mountain hut is Gleiwitzer Hütte, located 3km west-southwest. A little further is Bichl Alm. 6 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Walcher Kees. The peak is located north of the valley Käfertal.
