Description:
Großer Grieskogel is 3066 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 5 km east-southeast from the center of Enzingerboden and 13 km west-southwest of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße. The nearest mountain hut is Fürthermoaralm/Ebmatten, located 3km northeast. A little further is Wurf Hochalm. West-southwest from the summit there is glacier Oberes Hocheiserkees, 0.6 km south from the summit there is also glacier Grießkogelkees. The peak is located northeast of the valley Dorfer Tal.
