Karwand

Description:
Karwand is 1905 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.7 km north of peak Kapuziner. The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzenberghütte, located 2km north-northwest. A little further is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak. 5 km south-southwest of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 3 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Nördliches Bockkarkees, 3 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Freiwandkees.
