Obere Pfandlscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2730 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located in country Austria 0.3 km southeast of peak Kapuziner. The nearest mountain hut is Glocknerhaus, located 3km south. A little further is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak. 4 km south-southwest of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 2 km west-southwest from the saddle there is glacier Freiwandkees, 3 km east from the saddle there is also glacier Brennkogelkees. The saddle is located above the valley Käfertal.
