Racherin is 3092 meter high peak with a cross located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km southeast of peak Sinwelleck. The nearest mountain hut is Karl-Volkert-Haus, located 2km southwest. A little further is Information Bricciuskapelle. 4 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 3 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Brennkogelkees, 4 km west-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Freiwandkees. The peak is located north-northwest of the valley Gössnitztal.
