Piz Maskus is 3232 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 0.6 km south of peak Schwabenkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Kaunergrathütte, located 1.4km southeast. Watzeberg hunting lodge is also relatively close. 0.8 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Madatschferner, 1.0 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Unterer Verpeilferner. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Kaunertal. The peak is located on the ridge Kaunergrat.
